Google Just Made AI Video Generation Dirt Cheap and Developers Are Losing Their Minds
Google's new Veo 3.1 Lite model cuts the cost of AI-generated video by more than half, and it is available to any developer right now.
Google just dropped a bombshell on the AI video world. Their new model, Veo 3.1 Lite, lets developers create AI-generated videos at less than half the cost of their previous cheapest option. And it is just as fast.
What does that mean in plain English? Making a realistic AI video used to be expensive and slow. Now developers can plug into Google's system and generate high-quality video clips (up to 8 seconds in HD) for pennies. It supports vertical video for social media, widescreen for YouTube, and everything in between.
Google is also slashing prices on their faster model starting April 7th. The message is clear: they want AI video to be so cheap that every app, website, and startup can use it. We are about to see AI-generated video everywhere, from ads to social media to things we have not even imagined yet.
