Every Major AI CEO Is in the Same Room Right Now and the Announcements Are Wild
India's AI Summit has Sam Altman, Sundar Pichai, Dario Amodei, and 600 startups all under one roof this week.
India is hosting what might be the biggest AI gathering of the year. The AI Impact Summit kicked off in New Delhi this week and the guest list reads like a who's who of artificial intelligence.
Sam Altman from OpenAI. Sundar Pichai from Google. Dario Amodei from Anthropic. Demis Hassabis from Google DeepMind. Mukesh Ambani from Reliance. Jensen Huang sent a keynote. Even French President Macron flew in.
The summit has over 600 AI startups exhibiting, 700+ sessions planned, and Indian Prime Minister Modi set a bold target for India to become a top-three AI superpower by 2047.
Why does this matter? Because India is making a serious play to become the next major hub for AI development. Several Indian startups like Sarvam AI and BharatGen are unveiling homegrown language models that work in Indian languages. Anthropic announced its revenue doubled in India in just four months. And pretty much every major AI company is there trying to lock down partnerships.
The AI race is no longer just Silicon Valley versus China. India just entered the chat in a very big way.
