NVIDIA's Massive New Report Reveals AI Is Already Making Companies Billions, and It's Only Getting Started
NVIDIA surveyed over 3,200 companies and found that AI is boosting revenue, slashing costs, and creating a talent war that nobody is winning.
If you still think AI is just a buzzword that tech companies throw around to impress investors, NVIDIA's new report might change your mind.
The company just released its annual 'State of AI' report for 2026, and the numbers are staggering. After surveying more than 3,200 companies across the globe, one thing is crystal clear: AI isn't coming. It's already here. And it's making real money.
Companies across every major industry, from healthcare to finance to manufacturing, are reporting that AI is increasing their annual revenue while simultaneously driving down costs. That's the holy grail of business: make more money while spending less. And AI is delivering it.
The report highlights a massive shift from companies 'experimenting' with AI to actually deploying it at scale. The pilot phase is over. Companies that were dipping their toes in the water last year are now diving in headfirst.
One of the biggest trends? Agentic AI, which is essentially AI that can act on its own, making decisions and completing tasks without constant human supervision. KPMG estimates this could drive a $3 trillion productivity shift. That's trillion with a T.
But here's the catch: the biggest challenge companies face isn't the technology itself. It's finding people who know how to use it. The shortage of AI experts is the number one obstacle holding companies back, which means if you've got AI skills, you're about to become very popular in the job market.
The report also shows that open source AI tools are becoming the backbone of enterprise AI strategy, with companies increasingly building custom solutions rather than relying on one-size-fits-all products.
